Frigates and Cruisers typically hover above planets and colonies under the umbrella of the United Aerospace Nations, as security from threats, as a threat against rebellion, and as an FTL communication network. Information travels from ground-level networks and antennae, into the overhead frigate, and into the network above. Information races across it almost instantly, and orders come back just as quickly.
At least that’s the theory.
Word gets around fast.
That doesn’t look promising.
So that’s how the guys got on them super-quick. And why things are so dis-jointed UAN-side. The imagery makes it pretty clear what’s up: You can only go so far from a single broadcasting point, relays or not, before the signal breaks down and contact gets iffy.
